Eligible categories & conditions include -
- successful Q School candidates
- past ASM tournament participants
- past / lapsed AST members
- current or lapsed APCT members
- current or past members of any recognized PGA and or Tour
- playing only for VETERAN'S purse off the RED Tee Boxes
AST members and golfers who qualify for VETERAN status, but who wish to compete for the MAIN prize purse can do so but MUST play from the BLUE Tee Boxes alongside competitors in the regular SENIOR field.
VETERAN (V) division PRIZE MONEY at ASM events-
Where a field of 3 or more players in (V) division is realised
- provided each participant has contributed an additional SG$ 100 towards the V division purse
- the AST will add a further SG$ 50 per golfer to the V division's prize money
- the prize money will be awarded to leading V participant
Where a field of 12 players or more in the V division is realised
- provided each participant has contributed an additional SG$ 100 towards the V purse
- the AST will increase the amount from SG$ 50 to SG$ 100 per golfer towards the V division's prize money
- the prize money will be divided between the top 3 V division participants
V Division last place prize money
V division entries will be entitled to enjoy the deduction of US$ 250 (last place MAIN prize money) from their entry fees
Please Note
If a V division participant elects to play from the RED Tee Boxes, competing only for the V division purse then the participant(s) are not eligible to compete for the main SENIORS and or SUPER SENIORS prize purse
If a V division participant elects to play from the WHITE Tee Boxes, he may compete in both the SS and V division purses, however the participant(s) are not eligible to compete for the main SENIORS prize purse
If a V division participant wishes to compete for the main SENIORS prize purse he can do so but MUST play from the BLUE Tee Boxes alongside competitors in the regular SENIOR field.
Provided a V division participant plays from the BLUE Tee Boxes alongside competitors in the regular SENIOR field and he has also contributed SG$ 100 to the SS division purse he will be be entitled to compete in the SS division against other participants playing from the WHITE Tee Boxes
Similarly and provided a V division participant plays from the BLUE Tee Boxes alongside competitors in the regular SENIOR field and he has also contributed SG$ 100 to the V division purse he will be be entitled to compete in the V division against other participants playing from the RED Tee Boxes
Present and past members of any recognised PGA or Tour are NOT required to undergo the AST's qualifying school and are automatically entitled to join the AST provided they are at least 50 years old.
