Kim represented New Zealand as a Junior amateur and as a Pro at the World Cup in Hawaii in 1978. Kim played the Australasian tour, and South Seas tour from 1977 to 1982 and the European tour in 1980. Kim won the Pacific Harbour Open in 1980.
Kim has played only one senior tournament so far finishing 12th at the only tournament they have in New Zealand.
Kim played in the 2003 Asian Senior Masters @ Singapore.
