Present and past members of any recognised PGA or Tour are NOT required to under go the AST's qualifying school and are automatically entitled to join the AST provided they are at least 50 years old
US$ 750 @ Thai Baht 27,000 entry fee (all inclusive play & stay Q School package)
- 3 nights hotel accommodation, breakfast & lunch
- 3 rounds of golf, on course refreshments, individual caddy & buggy

The top 3 placing Qualifying School candidates (including ties) will secure an exemption from having to pay the AST's full US$ 350 one time joining fee, only paying US$ 150 the discounted / pro-rated AST annual membership fees for the remainder of the 2016 season, and be assured confirmed places to play in ASM events that are to be staged during the AST's Winter Season during the months of Sept to Dec 2016.
In order to be eligible to play in the AST's Tour Players Championship 2016 to be staged in Jan 2017 successful candidates will be required to pay a further US$ 300 for their 2017 Season's membership.
AST Q School is open to male golfers who have attained the aged of 49 years or older
In order to qualify and pass the successful AST Q School candidate must return a 2 day / 36 hole score of no more than 15 over par.
In the unfortunate event that an AST Q School candidate might fail to return the required score, they may go on to re-take Q School during during any of the various ASM professional tournaments / Q Schools to be staged during the remainder of the AST's 2016 Fall Season.

Successful AST Qualifying School candidates who have attained 50 years of age, and having paid their fees to join the AST / Asian Seniors PGA Tour, will automatically become eligible to contest any and all of the following ASM tournaments to be staged during the AST's 2016 Season -

Mon 19 to Thu 22 September @ Royal HIlls Golf Resort & Spa
1st ASM @ Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh) 2016 presented by Integra - min US$ 20,000 purse
Vietnam GCC - Sat 24 to Tue 27 September
1st ASM @ Japan (Tokyo) 2016 - event, venue & dates TBC - Oct / Nov 2016 - TBC
- the Champion will likely be invited to represent the AST in a PGA of Japan Senior Tour event

Asian Seniors Tour (AST) membership for the 2016 / 2017 season
Please note that it will cost a non-member between US$ 150 and US$ 250 extra to register and play in an ASM event depending upon the prize money on offer, so it does make sense to join the AST
It will cost the following for New Member to join the AST -
US$ 500 - for New Members - remainder of 2016 season only
- 1 time joining fee - US$ 350
- prorated 2016 annual membership fees - US$ 150 (should be US$ 300 per year)
- applies to successful Q School candidates, as well as current and or past members of any recognized PGA
US$ 800 - for New Members - remainder of 2016 & 2017 annual membership
- includes 1 time joining fee - US$ 350
- prorated 2016 annual membership fees - US$ 150 (should be US$ 300 per year)
- 2017 annual membership fees - US$ 300
- applies to successful Q School candidates, as well as current and or past members of any recognized PGA
2017 annual AST membership fees - US$ 300
- current 2016 AST members wishing to renew their membership for the AST's 2017 Season
- rates will increase to US$ 350 from 1 January 2017

The AST conducts Qualifying School in Malaysia 4 times a year, prior to the AST's Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Seasons and also during all ASM tournaments
- Play & Stay packages vary in cost from US$ 1,250 up to US$ 1,450 depending upon venues & include;
- 4 nights hotel accommodation, daily breakfast & lunch - 1 dinner, and 1 goodie bag
- 3 rounds of golf, on course refreshments, individual caddy & buggy (on a twin sharing basis)
- two way airport transfers - pick up on arrival & transfer back to the airport on departure
- daily return transportation between official hotel & golf club – as & when required
Local Resident / Country Exemption packages;
- vary in cost from US$ 750 up to US$ 950 depending upon venue
- does not include hotel accommodation or transportation
